There have been a couple of things that I really think are needed in order to bring YGO Pro to a true competetive level.

1. Shuffling hands manually
This is so important! For a multiple of reasons too, if you're constantly playing the card you draw immediatly, you're telling your opponent you're in a tough spot because you are topdecking. This allows them to play more aggressively than they would if they did not know this. Also, if cards are returned to the top of the Deck (such as Kristya), your opponent will know exactly what card it is in your hand. Also, if you have seen your opponent's hand through card effects like Mind Crush, and say you saw a single Trap card, whenever your opponent sets a card that was among the cards you previously saw (easily tracked because the opponent can't shuffle his hand!), you will know exactly what Trap card it is.

2. Quickplay Monster Effects are not prompted during the End Phase
Unlike Quickplay Spell Cards, such as Mystical Space Typhoon, the game does not ask if you want to activate a Quickplay Monster Effect (like Temtempo) during your End Phase. I know that pressing "A" will force it's activation, but since Quickplay Spells are prompted, it would make sense if Quickplay Monsters are also prompted.

3. Being able to check Decks(/Hands) to confirm there are no targets
I already suggested this in a previous version, but I'll suggest it again, just because I think it's so important. Whenever your opponent plays a card with a mandatory effect that targets a card in the Deck (like Eclipse Wyvern), but there are no targets left, your are allowed to check the Deck to verify there are no targets. The same goes for cards that target a card in the Hand with no targets, but I have not seen yet if this works or not.

4. Seperate Chatbox during a Duel
Because we are able to customize our own backgrounds, you can not always see what your opponent is writing because of the color of the text/background. A seperate Chatbox not only solves this issue, but also allows people to keep track of what has been said and makes sure you don't miss what your opponent -or the Spectators- are saying.

5. Replays
A Replay should replay a duel slower than it's doing right now. Watching Replays can sometimes be very confusing, because effects happen so fast. For instance, if you see somebody activate Good Goblin Housekeeping in a Replay, you can't even see what card he returned to the Deck (if it's one of the cards they drew), because before the card can even be properly seen in the hand, it is already returned the Deck.
There's also the issue that Player Names do not swap in a Replay during the replay of a Tag Duel. This is not exactly important, but it makes it impossible to confirm who the other 2 players were during a Tag.


These are just my ideas on how this game can improve dramatically. Please let me know what you think.

Hello and sorry for my poor english :)

There is my first suggestion, but before this, i want to congratz the team for this work.

So, i think it should be great if the devteam could give the possibility to join as spectator a running duel. Once you're in, there's too choices : View the duel back to the beginning or go directly to the live duel.

For the chat log, there should be a scrollable box, so that you don't lose what other people have written.

Also, the Duel log should take into account attack targets.

Oh, and Priority functionality needs to be removed from the game. It was removed from the TCG, so there's no reason it should still be in there.

My suggestion is to a "Lite Version". For people who use old computers (like me) and have horroble framerates, like 5~15. =/

Great job on making YGOPro. I've played DuelingNetwork a couple of times and didn't like it. When I found out about this, I was really excited and I'm glad I was.

I think it'd be much easier and faster to start a duel if there was an option to automatically connect to a random host. Just a thought. Can't wait to see more updates!

Also, dueling in full screen and having a chat log visible throughout the entire duel would be nice instead of having each message disappear in a minute.

Here's a suggestion.

Could we maybe get a deck image saver, like what DN has?

Basically, when you press a button, it would snap a shot of your deck, then save it as an image file in your YGOPro folder.

That way, you can upload your decks online easier.

What I try is to say,to be like mutators in Unreal Tournament Games
Such as: Disabling Monsters,Spells,Traps or like No XYZ or No Syncro
And allowing ofc to select multiple mutators at once
This idea is especially for tournaments (being a big ygo tournament hosting freak)

You can make your own ban lists; you just have to know how to edit the text file that registers them.

6) Having Custom ban lists. I know this has been suggested, but it's so complicated to edit it.


is it really soo hard to make custom ban list ?? o.O i have never tried it , but i would love to give a shot..

7) Make it Mac compatible.

here is the proof tht makein custom ban list is not prob at all...it took me 2 min....i used BlueEyesWhiteDragon as forbiden, dark magician as limited, n vorse raider as semi-limited...

Selecting order of activation:
When multiple effects activate at the same time (like Gladiator Beasts or Inzektor combos), we should be allowed to select the order in which they activate. A simple way to do this is to make a prompt that will ask you to confirm if you want to activate card X. If you select no, it will ask if you want to activate card Y etc. Or maybe one screen (the same when you view a Graveyard for instance) that makes us select the order in which cards activate.


P.S. I'd also like to point to the first 5 suggestions I made in this thread. Especially the lack of being able to shuffle hands has been annoying me to no end.

Oops, I never noticed that until now :oops:

Though that reminds me of another suggestion I wanted to make. Currently, Setting changes are not automatically saved, so they must be checked/unchecked every time you open the game.
Or is there a way to manually change the preset Settings?
